Combining two apartments in a classic New York City pre-war building poses its own challenges. Small rooms are combined, and thus transformed into multi-layered spaces; walls move or become partially transparent to allow for light; fresh materials and finishes are applied to a shell of another era, coaxing the past into the present. The outcome: a home with a history, better suited to how we live today. A collaboration with Mina Bernhard Interior Design and PJC Architecture.
